PU SEAL 2K
Two-component, bitumen-reinforced polyurethane-based, cold-applied, highly elastic,
It is a self-leveling dilatation and joint filling compound with high mechanical and chemical resistance.
In building dilatation joints,
• Parking spaces
• Terminal ramps
• Hangar
• Loading and unloading areas
• Indoors, outdoors, horizontal joints,
• Infrastructure
• Airport runways
• Sewerage
• Gas Stations
• Bridge platforms
Surface Preparations:
The surface should be cleaned using a high pressure washer if possible; oil, grease, fuel and paraffin residues should be removed, as well as mould release agents, cement residues, shavings,
It must also be completely free of loose particles and cured membranes.
Lining:
• For absorbent surfaces PROTEK PA 011 T, PROTEK PA 011 NB 2 K • For hard and normal surfaces PROTEK EA PRIMER WB
To mix up:
Apply immediately after mixing equal amounts of two components by hand or with a low speed mixer (300 rpm). The pot life of the mixture is 30-45 minutes at 20°C.
APPLICATION:
The appropriate size polyethylene wick is placed in the joint where the sub-surface preparation has been made (repair, cleaning, priming) and masking tape has been applied to the edges.
Width/depth: 2/1 ratio should be taken into consideration. Then, the prepared mastic is poured into the joint and applied. During the application, the mastic,
It should be ensured that the joint adheres to the two opposite inner surfaces. Care should be taken not to adhere to a third surface (bottom). After the joint filling process is completed, it should be applied with a suitable spatula.
The surface is smoothed and the masking tape is carefully removed to complete the application. • The packages that have been kept at room temperature (+15°C-+25°C) for 24 hours are opened and
It should be mixed until it reaches a homogeneous consistency. The mixing process should be done by selecting a low speed mixer and a suitable tip.
• The material must be protected against water, rain, external factors and mechanical stress until it has set.
• It should be kept in mind that the waiting time may be shorter in hot weather and longer in cold weather.
